Write an essay to describe the qualities needed for the job of your choice

I had been thinking a lot before I decided to become a credit officer. That is because any job has its own requirements and criteria. And after a long time working as a credit officer, I have realized that there are some qualities that are really necessary for my job.

Needless to say, financial analytical skills play an important role in my field. Firstly, it provides background knowledge for employees, who will give decision to make a loan for their clients. This knowledge helps staff classify and analyse the business results of the companies. Moreover, some figures that reflect their management and expenditures are also hidden in their financial reports. As a result, the credit officers may gain an overview of customers’ operations. This, obviously, is helpful for their future decision.

More remarkably, communication skill is really essential in my job. It contains negotiation skill, team-work skill, etc. Nowadays, we have to face with many difficulties during our work. This may happen while we deal with clients and even among colleagues. Thus, to resolve this, it is suggested that we listen more and think carefully before giving opinions. Furthermore, learning from colleagues and clients is also the best way to improve communication skill.

Last but not least, it is the professional ethics. This is a great challenge among officers in our bank. As a matter of fact, we may be lured by attractive things Thus, we have to overcome these and work with independent spirit. That is understandable as our irresponsibility may bring many negative effects to our bank. As a result, the loans may be put at risks due to the carelessness and corruption. Therefore, professional ethics should be paid more attention. This not only contributes to the stability and development of our bank but also creates a belief in clients.

In conclusion, every job always has its own needed qualities. However, I myself believe that individual should also set principles for themselves to assert their value.
